Erin Michael O’Toole

Erin O’Toole is corporate legal counsel at Procter & Gamble Canada, where he is responsible for Canadian litigation matters, intellectual property enforcement and serves as commercial counsel to the healthcare and beauty business units. Prior to joining P&G, Erin practised corporate litigation and energy law with Stikeman Elliott LLP in Toronto. In 2009, Erin was a Canadian General Counsel Awards finalist in the Tomorrow’s Leader category for his work in intellectual property enforcement and class action litigation.

Prior to a career in law, Erin served as an officer in the Canadian Forces. He was trained as an Air Navigator in the Canadian Air Force and flew on the Sea King helicopter as a Tactical Officer with 423 (MH) Squadron in Shearwater, Nova Scotia. During this time, he sailed with the Canadian Navy, most notably aboard HMCS St. John’s. In 2000, Erin was awarded a Sikorsky Helicopter Rescue Award for a rescue at sea and was awarded the Canadian Forces Decoration (C.D.) in 2003.

Erin holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree from the Royal Military College of Canada and a Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University. He has served on a number of charitable and non-profit boards, including the Board of Governors of the Royal Military College. Erin lives in Courtice, Ontario with his wife Rebecca and their daughter Mollie.
